What is Trezor® Bridge?
Trezor® Bridge is a lightweight local background program that enables communication between your Trezor® hardware wallet and the Trezor Suite desktop/web app. It acts as a secure USB/HTTP bridge so your browser or Trezor Suite can detect and interact with the device without direct driver fiddling.
Download & Install — Quick Steps
- Visit the official start page:
trezor.io/start(always verify the URL). - Choose your platform (Windows, macOS, Linux) and download the Trezor® Bridge installer.
- Run the installer and follow on-screen prompts. On macOS you may need to allow the app in System Preferences → Security & Privacy.
- Open Trezor Suite (or the web suite when supported) and connect your Trezor® hardware wallet via USB.
Connecting to Trezor Suite / Trezor Suite App
After Bridge is installed, launch the Trezor Suite App. The Suite will detect your device and guide you through authentication and wallet unlocking. If Suite prompts for a firmware update, follow the official instructions carefully — firmware updates are signed and necessary for security.
Troubleshooting: Trezor® Login Issues
- Can't detect device: Reinstall Bridge, try a different USB cable/port, and disable browser extensions that block USB devices.
- Trezor Suite App not working: Ensure Bridge is running (look for a tiny tray/background process) and relaunch Suite.
- Can't verify wallet / Error connecting: Confirm you're on
trezor.io/startand that the device firmware matches Suite requirements. - Trezor login not working / Unable to login: Double-check PIN entry, ensure the device is unlocked, and verify you are using the right recovery seed (do not enter recovery on any website).
Account Recovery & 2FA
Trezor® Account Recovery: If you lose access to your device, recover funds using your recovery seed on a compatible hardware wallet or supported recovery tool. Never share your seed. Trezor itself does not store your private keys or seeds.
Trezor 2FA reset: Trezor® hardware wallets don't store online 2FA; third-party services may integrate 2FA. For resets, follow the specific service’s recovery flow — Trezor® cannot reset an external service's 2FA for you.
